Guest or featured tattoo artists tour the globe sharing their perspective of the world through their craft can be a great experience for any person interested in getting a tattoo. Whenever a tattoo artist spends time in a certain location, the other artists at that location get to learn from them. It’s also the reason why there are so many different styles of tattooing. This has created a rich talent pool of travelling Tattoo Artists from around the world. Artists are exposed to sights, sounds and textures that are singular to their environments. The influence of art around the world varies from place to place. I’m glad that happened, because now I would not want a tattoo at all- I prefer to keep a classic style, with no tattoos.Thinking about getting a tattoo from a guest tattoo artist? There are a few things you should know about first: We contacted the artist and he said it would be a few hours until he got in, so we just decided not to get anything at all. But, when we got to the tattoo parlor, it was closed unexpectedly. When I was 18, my cousin and I went together to get small tattoos-I wanted mine on the back of my neck where I could not see it. But I don’t think it will happen any time soon. I think if I had to get one, I would get something really delicate in honor of my children. I love them on other people and really admire the style, but I’m nervous about the commitment as well as the pain.

After that, the idea of something so permanent on my body freaked me out so I had no desire to get any tattoos. So I did that, and after a year I realized I absolutely did not want it. I was dead set on getting it once I turned 18, however, an older friend of mine told me to print a picture of it and hang it on my wall and wait a year-if I still wanted it after a year, I should get it. When I was younger, in the 90’s, I really wanted a barbed wire tattoo like Pamela Anderson had.

It’s going to be my “hair-dresser” sleeve, full of different tools and hair dressing equipment, with some filler images of skulls and roses which are some of my favorite motifs in tattoos. My next tattoo is one I am extremely excited for-I am going to be covering an old tattoo I have on my arm and extending it into a full sleeve. It means a lot to me because it represents the bond I have with my kids, who are my world. It’s a compass with tendrils leading up and down my spine, with the coordinates of my two son’s births on either side. I have four tattoos, but my favorite is the one on my back. I will (hopefully) be getting my next annual tat, of my cat, Mochi, characterized as the cat Jiji from the Studio Ghibli film Kiki’s Delivery Service, because if there are two things I love, they’re my cat and anime. I got a wrist tattoo that says “sensitive” on it in a moment of vulnerability. Tyler the Creator song? Sure, put it on my ribs. I just kept going after that, a new one every year. Not long after that I got a dog paw print on my ankle when the dog I had had for 15 years passed away-sentimental and sweet, yeah, but still impulsive as I rushed out with my friends in between bouts of crying to get something to remember her by. I got a moon and star because it seemed simple enough. That was my first moment of screw it, why not. His friend wanted to be a tattoo artist and was giving people stick ‘n pokes (don’t try it at home kids!). I got my first tattoo when I was 18 visiting my friend at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. I just like to go with what feels right, I figure it’s my body, so why not have fun with it. I have four tattoos, none of which I put too much planning into. I think she still won't look directly at it. I'm technically still grounded in case you're wondering. I managed to hide it from my mother for a long time because it was the 90s and combat boots and socks were in style. There is a song lyric quote that I like but it wouldn't fit there.

Although if I did I might put it on the back of my neck. I always thought I'd get another one but a lot of time passed and now I can't think of anything that I would want to add. I think at this point it would seem weird if it wasn't there. I still like it, I still think it's pretty and I like when I have a dress on and I get to see it. Although looking back it would be pretty hilarious if I had a dragon on my ankle. Ha! Luckily I got the rose, I decided purple roses were my favorite so it was good enough. It was between the purple rose and the dragon. The second I turned 18, my friend, Michelle and I went straight to NH, walked in, picked a tattoo off the wall and got it. Tattoos used to not be legal in Mass so you had to go to NH but you had to be 18. My mother was very strict and I was absolutely forbidden to get a tattoo. It was nothing short of teenage rebellion. I have one tattoo, it's a purple rose on my ankle.
